The association for the natural cross-border territory of Chiers and Alzette, a not-for-profit association (TNT), provides the project with a space for experimenting with intelligent, innovative lighting solutions applied to different types of area (rural, peri-urban and urban) within a narrow perimeter covering two areas (France and Luxembourg) of the Greater Region.
Based on research advances made by the Universities of Liège and Trier, and taking into consideration field studies and user requirements identified during various workshops and round-table sessions, the TNT will create prototypes to demonstrate lighting devices.
Since each of the areas has specific technical features, these will be included in the specifications to be developed, checked and implemented during prototype installation and start-up in the TNT Franco-Luxembourgish public area.
